This Vivitar UV Filter is a multi-purpose, fine-weather filter that is designed to optimize your photography experience. I just picked this up with my Canon XSi. The lens hood works with the kit lens that's included, as does the filter. The cleaning package is rather nice. I'm pretty sure I'll never use the lens strap, but it's fine that it's included. All in all a good grouping of products if you're looking to just get into DSLR photography.

I was looking for a flash for my Nikon D40. Then I saw at AMAZON the "Vivitar 285HV ... for Nikon D40".
... but it was just a general purpose flash, not dedicated in anyway to this camera. The Nikon D40 has 4
contact points for an external flash and the Vivitar285HV has only 1 contact point. The only true fact is
that you can put the flash on the camera, but it is absolutetly not related to the Nikon D40.
